How to Audition

We are no longer accepting applications for the 22-23 season. Please contact lyndsey@texasballet.org with any questions.

Dancers may attend one of our in-person auditions or submit a video audition to be considered for Company, Apprentice, Trainee, and Studio Training Company positions.

There is not an audition fee to submit a video audition. When completing the application, you will need to provide a headshot, photo in first arabesque, and resume. Only applications submitted through the online form will be reviewed. No email submissions or phone calls, please.

Texas Ballet Theater has a mandatory COVID-19 vaccination policy for Company dancers, as well as anyone who performs with the company. Please contact lyndsey@texasballet.org if you have questions about the application process to be a part of the Company.

Audition Dates & Details

There is a $25 fee for all in-person auditions. Applicants must pre-register, as well as provide a resume, headshot, and photo in first arabesque.

If you’re interested in Apprentice, Trainee, or Studio Training Company positions, please reference the Summer Intensive Audition procedure.

On Audition Day

Arrive at the audition site 30 minutes before the scheduled audition time. This will give you enough time to complete your registration form, submit your audition package, and warm up. Please be ready to dance en pointe, if applicable.
