To make ballet more accessible to everyone in our community, Texas Ballet Theater partners with local organizations to offer performances, classes, and hands-on experiences to those who may not have attended otherwise. Through these programs, we desire to introduce more people to ballet and encourage a lifelong appreciation of dance.
Our community partners help make our programs accessible to new audiences year-round.
Texas Ballet Theater partners with more than 50 schools in Dallas and Tarrant Counties to deliver beginner ballet classes to students in the DFW Metroplex. The free five-week series brings the joy of ballet to children within our community who may not otherwise have access to art and dance. In an effort to reach more students, we continue to partner with new schools every year.
Texas Ballet Theater brings beauty of ballet to more than 35,000 students annually through our Student Matinee series. Designed for school groups of 10+ students, our short, daytime performances teach young audiences about music, movement, and live performance.
Additionally, in partnership with the Veteran Tickets Foundation, we donate a number of tickets from each performance to currently serving military, veterans and their families.
There are many opportunities for careers in the arts industry, from artists to administrators. Texas Ballet Theater participates in school Career Days and Fine Arts Days to introduce students to these opportunities.
