DALLAS, Texas — August 10, 2026 — Texas Ballet Theater (TBT) has appointed award-winning choreographer and former Pacific Northwest Ballet soloist Price Suddarth as School Principal of Texas Ballet Theater School’s Dallas location at Preston Center. Suddarth, who spent more than a decade as a professional dancer with Pacific Northwest Ballet in Seattle, has relocated to North Texas to begin his new role.
Suddarth brings an extensive career in professional ballet, choreography and dance education to TBT School. He trained at the Central Indiana Dance Ensemble, School of American Ballet and Pacific Northwest Ballet School before joining Pacific Northwest Ballet, where he was promoted to Soloist in 2018. During his career, he originated leading roles in works by choreographers including Marco Goecke, Victor Quijada, and Twyla Tharp, and performed featured and leading roles by renowned choreographers including William Forsythe, Crystal Pite, Justin Peck, Christopher Wheeldon, Mark Morris, Jerome Robbins, and George Balanchine.
His accomplishments as a choreographer are equally extensive. Suddarth has created new works for organizations including Pacific Northwest Ballet, Kansas City Ballet, Tulsa Ballet, Milwaukee Ballet, Ballet Sun Valley, Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet, the University of Oklahoma, and Colburn Dance Academy. In 2022, he was named the winner of Milwaukee Ballet’s Genesis: International Choreographic Competition. He was also selected by Dance Magazine as one of its “25 to Watch” in 2012 and was nominated for a Princess Grace Award in dance in 2011.
“Price’s arrival is exciting for us because he is an established choreographer and has experience as a teacher that can take our new Dallas school at Preston Center to the next level. He brings a professional dancer’s perspective, a choreographer’s curiosity, and an artist’s willingness to imagine what could be different. As we look at the future of TBT, we want to create stronger connections between our professional company, our students, and the communities we serve. That means bringing professional performances and artists into our Preston Center studio, creating new opportunities for students to engage with our dancers, and expanding the ways we share dance with Dallas. Price is joining us at a moment when there is a lot to imagine, and I think his perspective will be an important part of that conversation.” said Tim O’Keefe, Artistic Director.
Beyond the stage, Suddarth has developed a significant body of work in dance film and digital media. During the pandemic, he created more than a dozen film works through collaborations with Kansas City Ballet, the University of Oklahoma, and Pacific Northwest Ballet. He also conceived, developed and directed the PNB Dance Film Festival, creating a platform to elevate independent dance filmmakers and artists.
Suddarth said joining TBT School at this point in the organization’s history presents an exciting opportunity to bring his experiences as a dancer, choreographer, and creative artist into the classroom.

In his role as School Principal, Suddarth will help lead the Dallas school and support TBT’s continued commitment to providing high-quality dance education for students at every stage of their development. His appointment adds to the artistic expertise and diverse perspectives available to students as TBT School continues to grow its programs and serve the next generation of dancers throughout North Texas.
Suddarth begins his role on Monday, August 10, 2026.
