Learn the art of ballet

Texas Ballet Theater School

Training the next generation of artists, athletes, and aficionados.

Preschool to Pre-Professional

Texas Ballet Theater School offers dance programs in Dallas and Fort Worth with classes that range from beginner ballet to elite professional training. Our curriculum is designed to nurture aspiring artists by strengthening their technical dancing skills, creating a life-long appreciation for ballet, and helping develop critical life skills like confidence, discipline and creativity, which enrich their lives long after classes have concluded.

Preschool & Student Division

TBT offers students a chance to grow through the fundamentals of dance. Ballet education prepares students for the future, whether pursuing a professional career in ballet, attending college, or taking another path. Parents can enroll children in ballet classes where they learn the foundations of dance, while older students can sharpen their technique in our Student Division. Select your location to explore ballet class schedules and registration dates.

Professional Division

Aimed at preparing dancers for a professional ballet career, students admitted to the Professional Division will have an opportunity to advance their technique and artistry in one of two programs, the Professional Training Division and Studio Training Company.

Summer Programs

Throughout the summer, Texas Ballet Theater School offers a range of programs for aspiring pre-professional dancers and young artists. These classes are focused on younger students, and combine professional instruction with fun summer themes for a rewarding experience.

Adult Programs

Whether you’re new to ballet or making your return to the studio, Texas Ballet Theater’s adult classes offer a unique way to embrace your creative side while building strength and flexibility in a fun environment.

Adaptive Dance

Dance should include every student in an accessible and inspiring way. That’s why we’ve partnered with Children’s Health and Cook Children’s to bring ballet to dancers ages 4-10 with Down syndrome or others with a diagnosis similar to, but not restricted to, Down syndrome.

Classes focus on movement and rhythmic skills while nurturing self expression. Funding for the Adaptive Dance Program is provided by the H. L. & Elizabeth M. Brown Foundation.

Fall 2023 classes will be held at both campuses:
Dallas: Fridays from 5:15-6:00 pm beginning September 8, ages 4-8
Fort Worth: Saturdays beginning September 9; 3:30-4:15 pm (ages 4-7) and 4:30-5:15 pm (ages 8-10)

For more information about this program, please contact Alexis Leffel, Educational Programs Manager at alexis@texasballet.org.

CityDance

Designed to partner with local public schools and bridge the gap between students and dance, CityDance makes the arts more accessible than ever and supports the arts in our community. CityDance partners with schools and organizations across Dallas-Fort Worth to offer a free five-week series of introductory ballet classes to children who may otherwise lack access.

Be kind. Be respectful. Be involved. Be brave. At TBT School, we hold our students and staff to a high standard.
