A DFW native, Jonathan returns home with a distinguished record of accomplishment. He most recently served as Chief Development Officer for Opera Philadelphia, and leans into his wide-ranging background that spans performance, education, and management to advance the performing arts.
He has held leadership positions from coast to coast and has served organizations including the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra, Boston University Tanglewood Institute, Philharmonia Baroque Orchestra and Chorale, and Alonzo King LINES Ballet.
An opera singer by training and graduate of Baylor University and Boston University, Neumann brings both professional expertise and a deep personal connection to the region and performing arts.
“I grew up in North Texas, and I’m thrilled to invest my energy and experience in an organization as vital and dynamic as Texas Ballet Theater,” said Neumann. “TBT’s commitment to artistic excellence, education, and community engagement is inspiring. I look forward to working alongside the board, supporters, and staff to build meaningful partnerships that ensure the company’s continued growth and impact.”
As Director of Development, Neumann will lead Texas Ballet Theater’s philanthropic initiatives, focusing on expanding individual and institutional giving, strengthening donor engagement, and deepening partnerships across Dallas and Fort Worth. His appointment comes at an exciting time for the organization as its fully staffed development team begins a new chapter focused on strategic growth and long-term sustainability.
“Jonathan brings an exceptional combination of fundraising expertise, artistic understanding, and deep ties to our community,” said Jill Caughron “His experience working with leading arts organizations across the country, combined with his passion for North Texas, will help Texas Ballet Theater build stronger relationships with our supporters and expand the impact of our mission.”
Texas Ballet Theater’s mission is to create, present, and tour world-class professional ballet—from classical to cutting-edge—and to promote its appreciation, accessibility, and technical mastery among students, pre-professionals, and audiences of all ages. Through its performances, training programs, and community engagement initiatives, the company serves thousands of patrons and students each year throughout North Texas.
As the resident ballet company of both Bass Performance Hall in Fort Worth and the Winspear Opera House at the AT&T Performing Arts Center in Dallas, Texas Ballet Theater occupies a unique role in the region’s cultural landscape. Under Neumann’s leadership, the development team will continue to strengthen the philanthropic support that makes this work possible.
With a reputation as a collaborative leader and relationship-driven fundraiser, Neumann is passionate about connecting donors to the artistic and educational work that defines Texas Ballet Theater.
