Since our founding in 1961, Texas Ballet Theater has evolved from a small regional ballet company to the internationally recognized organization it is today. It’s through the talent and hard work of our team and the support of our audiences that we consistently attract the finest dancers and choreographers to North Texas.
The mission of Texas Ballet Theater is to create, present and tour world-class professional ballet, from classical to cutting–edge, and promote its appreciation, accessibility, and technical mastery among students, pre-professionals, and audiences of all ages. We are honored to be the only arts organization to serve as resident company for Bass Performance Hall in Fort Worth and the Winspear Opera House on the AT&T Performing Arts Center Campus in Dallas. Our internationally recognized company is built on a rich history and boasts a repertoire of ballet performances that are creative, expressive and collaborative.
Under the superb artistic direction of Tim O’Keefe, Texas Ballet Theater boasts a repertoire that is creative, expressive, and collaborative. From timeless and traditional to modern and abstract, our artistic staff work to present exceptional pieces, each and every season.
Texas Ballet Theater is home to an incredible cast of artists from all around the world. Their talent and dedication is what brings these stories to life on stage.
Thanks to the support and guidance of our board, Texas Ballet Theater continues to bring classical ballets to the community, commission new works, and cultivate the next generation of dancers.
“To ensure the future of ballet, we must take it outside of the theater and into the community. As we continue to grow our company, this will play a vital role in Texas Ballet Theater’s ability to cultivate new audiences and engage the next generation of appreciation for ballet, at home and abroad.”
