Ballet for all

Community Impact

Enrichment programs designed to inspire an appreciation for ballet and bring people together.

At the Heart of our Company is Our Community

Texas Ballet Theater partners with local organizations to bring dance to everyone, from preschool students to seniors. By making performances, classes and hands-on experiences more accessible, more people can share in the beauty of dance.

Partners

Our community partners help make our programs accessible to new audiences year-round.

CityDance

Texas Ballet Theater partners with more than 50 schools in Dallas and Tarrant Counties to deliver beginner ballet classes to students in the DFW metroplex. The free five-week series brings the joy of ballet to children within our community who may not otherwise have access to art and dance. In an effort to reach more students, we continue to partner with new schools every year.

Student Matinees

To make performances more accessible to everyone in our community, we offer a number of programs that serve as an introduction and encourage a life-long interest in ballet. TBT loves bringing the beauty of ballet to more than 35,000 students annually through the Student Matinee Series. Additionally, in partnership with the Veteran Tickets Foundation, we donate a number of tickets to each performance for currently serving military, veterans and their families.

In the 23-24 season TBT will offer a special student matinee of Peter and the Wolf at 12:30 pm Thursday, November 30 at Winspear Opera House in Dallas. This performance is intended for 2nd and 3rd grade audiences. If you are interested in bringing students to this performance, please click below to complete our interest form.

Career Days

There are many opportunities for careers in the arts industry, from artists to administrators. Texas Ballet Theater participates in school Career Days and Fine Arts Days to introduce students to these opportunities.
