Aoi Takahashi, a native of Fukushima, Japan began her ballet training at age four with the Hitomi Takeuchi Ballet School. In 2011, she came to the United States to study at Houston Ballet’s Ben Stevenson Academy. Ms. Takahashi placed fifth in the 2012 Japan Grand Prix and in 2013 was awarded a scholarship to Texas Ballet Theater’s Summer Intensive. She has performed Clara in Ben Stevenson’s The Nutcracker and is in her third season with Texas Ballet Theater.
