Students are evaluated individually and placed in appropriate levels based on a variety of criteria including age, knowledge and execution of ballet technique, physique, personal strength development and regular attendance.
An open audition for middle to upper school level placement is scheduled prior to the beginning of the school year for new students.
The Fort Worth Academy of Texas Ballet Theater School will hold auditions for new students. Auditions will be held at 11:00 a.m. on August 23, 2008 at the Fort Worth Academy studios.
The Fort Worth Academy offers a placement class for students who wish to enroll after the start of the school year. The placement class is offered for a fee of $35, which will be applied toward the registration fee upon official enrollment into the school. Fees must be paid and appropriate forms must be completed prior to taking class. The Dallas Academy does not currently offer a placement class.
