In her first season with Texas Ballet Theater, Diana Peters her professional training at The Ballet School of Stamford near her home town of Riverside CT. At age 13, she was accepted to study at Canada’s National Ballet School in Toronto where she had the opportunity to work with international teachers year-round. Diana has attended summer programs at CPYB, Kaatsbaan, NBS and has received scholarships for three summers at Chautauqua School of Dance most recently in their apprentice program, where she earned an award for her choreography in the Student Workshop. After graduating NBS with honors in 2009, Diana spent one year in their Post Secondary Program before joining Tulsa Ballet II. There, Ms. Peters enjoyed performing in Marcello Angelini’s Swan Lake, John Cranko’s The Taming of the Shrew, and Twyla Tharp’s Push Comes to Shove. Diana is very grateful to her family and close friends for their constant love and support, especially Cynthia Gregory who has been a mentor and friend since Diana was young. Ms. Peters is thrilled to be a member of Texas Ballet Theater.
