Allisyn Hsieh, who began dancing at the age of 3, studied ballet, jazz, modern, tap and lyrical dancing at New Hampshire Academy of the Performing Arts. Allisyn later intensified her training at the Boston Ballet School, which culminated in her being hand selected in 2003 as the premiere dancer for the role of Clara in The Nutcracker. Ms. Hsieh attended three summer programs, two on merit scholarships. To refine her ballet technique, Ms. Allisyn enrolled at Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet and worked closely with choreographer and principal faculty member Laszlo Berdo. Joining Texas Ballet Theater for her third season, Allisyn Hsieh has enjoyed dancing “Clara” in The Nutcracker, Balanchine’s Serenade and Theme and Variations, and “Swanhilda” in Alan Hineline’s Coppelia. Ms. Hsieh would like to thank her parents for all they have done for her.
