Jenny Bobo is from Troy, Michigan., where she received her ballet training from age 6 at The Link School of the Arts. She has attended ballet summer schools at American Ballet Theatre, The Rock School for Dance Education, Houston Ballet and Texas Ballet Theater. She had the opportunity to be mentored by Lauren Anderson who suggested that she come to Texas Ballet Theater. Some of Ms. Bobo's favorite ballet roles include “Giselle” in Peter Wright’s Giselle, the main ballerina in Etudes and Swanhilda Act III. Her dream role is to play "Juliet" in Ben Stevenson’s Romeo and Juliet. In 2011, Jenny placed in the Top 12 at the YAGP (Chicago, IL) for classical and contemporary solos. She loves cooking, baking, swimming, horseback riding, shopping and playing the violin. This is Ms. Bobo first season with Texas Ballet Theater and she wouldn’t be a dancer today without her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
