Parsifal Pittendorfer began his ballet studies at Yellowstone Ballet School in Livingston, Montana. He received scholarships to San Francisco Ballet School, Orlando Ballet, Texas Ballet Theater and Ellison Ballet, NY. Before joining TBT he danced professionally with State Street Ballet in Santa Barbara, California. Parsifal has enjoyed performing in Giselle, Les Sylphides, Swan Lake, Cinderella and The Nutcracker. This is Parsifal’s third season with Texas Ballet Theater.

Why did you begin dancing?
I was moved over time by the beauty of the music and art form. Also, all of the challenging steps and the big jumps and turns.

Romeo and Juliet, Giselle, La Bayadere
What is your favorite ballet to perform/what is your favorite role you have performed?
I’m not sure which ballet is my favorite to perform but my favorite role I have performed is the Prince in Cinderella.
What surprised you the most about being a professional dancer?
How quickly you have to be to pick up the steps and choreography
