The

Ballet Guild

of Fort Worth

The Ballet Guild of Fort Worth welcomes both new and renewing members to another great season of dance at Texas Ballet Theater. This promises to be the most exciting year yet for the company, with performances in Fort Worth and Dallas! And although Texas Ballet Theater’s reputation and performance schedule have expanded well beyond the city limits, the company has it's origins in Fort Worth.
Your membership in the Guild affords you a unique opportunity to support this internationally renowned company.

The Guild will be kicking off the season with a Welcome Back Party for the dancers at Joe T. Garcia’s. As the season begins, we invite you to participate in our Adopt a Dancer program, which pairs company dancers with sponsors who remember them on performance nights and special days. What could be more fun than getting to know your own personal company member? Who knows, your encouragement could enable your dancer to become the next rising star! The company begins their performance season at the Majestic Theater in Dallas in September, and then in October, they will be performing Mozart’s Requiem at Bass Performance Hall. The Guild’s Feed the Dancers program provides a lunch for the company prior to opening nights. If you make a special dish (or can order a pizza), this committee is for you. And the holiday season just would not be complete without the Nutcracker! Join us for our annual Holiday Open House, and consider volunteering at the Nutcracker Boutique at Bass Hall. Our volunteers see the performances free of charge, and sell beautiful Nutcracker-themed items. The magic continues with Swan Lake and finishes with Cleopatra. The Guild’s annual Spring Luncheon at beautiful Rivercrest Country Club will cap off the season.

Thank you again for joining us this year. Whether you volunteer for one of our fun activities, or simply enjoy our social events, your membership directly supports the artists of Texas Ballet Theater. The dancers and artistic staff appreciate everything we do for them. Here’s to a wonderful season!

We are looking for volunteers to help with the Nutcracker Boutique.
The Ballet Guild is responsible for all of the Nutcracker Boutique Sales during the run of

COMMITTEES

Telephone/Communications:  Be one of the people responsible for notifying other Guild members of upcoming events, requests for action, etc. Generally, this notification is done by e-mail or telephone. Members of the committee are assigned certain pages of the Guild membership book to call when necessary.

Programs/Education:  Develop a program or activity for the Guild membership to enjoy. Design the invitations, make arrangements and plan refreshments.

Fundraiser's:  Plan fun money-making activities. Brainstorm with a group, then follow through with plans to raise money for the Guild to help support it and its mission.

Boutique:  Help chairperson select and/or prepare items for sale (pricing, packing, etc.). Be available to work at the boutique table at Bass Hall during Texas Ballet Theater performances.

Members who help at the Boutique table receive a free ticket to the performance.

Feed the Dancers:  Every other month, we provide lunch for the dancers at the studio. This is a great way to meet the dancers and visit with them in person. You supply one food item which you then bring to the studio on the day of the lunch. Be prepared to hear many “thank you’s” from the dancers. This is a very popular activity.

Luncheon/Parties:  Help with refreshments, invitations, location of site or party favors or things needed to make our annual Spring luncheon or holiday party a huge success.

Host Event in My Home:  If your home is large enough to comfortably hold 40+ people, perhaps this is your committee, especially if you enjoy being a host/hostess. Guild committee members provide the food, drinks and even the centerpiece.

Kitchen Elf:  Enjoy cooking? Sign up to provide food for parties and programs.

Ballet Guild is proud to sponsor the following events!
