A lover of sports and staying active, Mr. Coomer enjoys soccer, poker and golf when he is not performing.

Originally from Liverpool, England, Carl Coomer begins his first season with Texas Ballet Theater.  He began his dance training on scholarship at the Royal Ballet School where he had the opportunity to perform with both the Royal Ballet and the Birmingham Royal Ballet.  Following his training, Mr. Coomer performed as a soloist with Houston Ballet for several seasons.  His favorite ballets include Ben Stevenson’s Dracula, John Cranko’s Onegin and anything by Christopher Bruce.
